- A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO SUBMITTING YOUR LISTING -
This guide is for everyone from a brand new broker to an experienced PB.
We can all use a refresher every now and then.
PART ONE: The Set Up
• Win that listing!
- Once you've got a signed listing contract from your client, it's time to fill out the RMLS listing contract in full.
- After the contract is completed, continue on to RMLS and enter your listing into the "Listing Load" section of the "Back Office" tab in the menu bar.
- Save your listing (but don't publish it just yet). From the Listing Load screen, click the RMLS number to view the listing in "Agent Full" mode, and click the "PDF" button above the listing to save a PDF copy of the "In-Progress" listing, to your computer's desktop.
- Keep that "In-Progress" PDF as we will need it shortly!
• Photography + Signage
- Time to order the photography and (optional) videography, plus a real estate sign post. Here are a list of preferred vendors to help you choose the companies that are right for you!

PART TWO: The Submission
• Organize the puzzle pieces!
- Now that it's been a few days, you should have received your photography / videography back from your vendor of choice.
- Typically, from your photographer you will receive either: A) a DropBox link or B) a link to any online photo gallery and C) a link to you online video or video file.
- You will need those links in a moment, as there are fields on the marketing order form specifically for them.
• Time to place that order!
- So, now that you have your RMLS in-progress PDF and the links to your photos, you are ready to submit your order to the Summa Marketing Department!
- Go to the new listing order page, where you will simply fill out the online form in completion, and hit the submit button at the bottom of the page.
- Once you are done with that, you can return to this How-To Guide for Part Three (below).
PART THREE: The Execution
• You're ready to roll!
- Once you've submitted your order to the Summa Marketing Department, we'll process everything and return it to you via email within 3 business days.
- Be on the lookout for an email from us:
"marketing@summarealty.com" with the subject line of "Property Address - Marketing Complete".
- That email will contain the following:
- Property Flyer PDF
- Direct links to property websites
- Marketing Checklist PDF
- contains links and details on all completed items
- craigslist post link, branded photos, email blast details
- Any additional extras you may have ordered
- ex: perma-flyer, postcards, etc
• How to utilize this great marketing!
- Now that you've received all your great marketing materials, what should you do next?

- Fill up your flyer box, and put some in the home too
- Door knock the neighborhood and hand some out
- Post on the bulletin board at work, give one to a friend

- Post is renewed every 48 hours as Craigslist allows
